John
Dillon
Mr. Dillon is a senior executive with over thirty-five years
of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and related healthcare
fields. He was with SmithKline Beecham, now GlaxoSmithKline,
for 22 years where he was responsible for the business development
functions, first for the U.S. and then the worldwide pharmaceutical
businesses. He led the negotiation teams for major transactions
within these businesses. Mr. Dillon also served as Vice President,
Product Marketing, for the U.S. Pharmaceutical business and
directed the strategic planning process for global pharmaceuticals.
Prior to these positions, he developed global marketing plans
for key corporate products and served as General Manager of
a specialty orthopedic business at SmithKline. More recently,
Mr. Dillon has directed the business development functions
at a number of companies, including United Medical Corporation,
IBAH, Inc. (now Omnicare Clinical Research), Acurian, and Auxilium
Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He also served as CEO at Research Data
Corporation and directed the sales and marketing functions
for this company. As Senior Vice President, Marketing, at Auxilium,
Mr. Dillon managed all prelaunch and launch activities for
the company’s first commercial product, Testim®.
He is currently on the Board of Directors for Encysive, NuPathe,
and CureDM. Mr. Dillon received his B.A. from Lafayette College
and his M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of
Pennsylvania. |
